A passionate evangelist of the Case Method of Teaching, Dr. V.V. Gopal is currently the Dean at VIT Business School, Vellore. Prior to this assignment, he worked with IBS, Hyderabad and Dubai campuses and was the Dean at NMIMS, Bangalore campus. Dr. Gopal did his PGDBM from IMT Ghaziabad in 1987 and Ph.D in 2010 from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He was earlier associated with various industries such as ITC and Karvy Consultants for more than 15 years in the areas of Marketing, Finance and Strategy. Developing case studies based on Indian businesses is his passion. He has published several cases and case-lets in Harvard Publishing, The Case Center and International journals. Dr. Gopal has edited fourteen books in the area of marketing and general management and presented papers at several international conferences. He has done consulting assignments for Globe Pharma (USA), Reliance Retail, Harrison Furnishings, Ambility Technologies (STEP), KAARA Information Systems, Sri Agro Industries and Vijaya Foods among others. He is on the Board of Studies of some leading B-Schools and is a reviewer for five leading International Journals. He is a member of several Management and Industry Associations in India.
